당신 교회는 성경적입니까? (Marks of Biblical Church)-영어/한글
I believe every pastor has the desire to build a Biblical church. This desire may ebb and flow, but it never disappears.
People who want to build Biblical churches usually start with the structure, organization, or ministry practices demonstrated in the New Testament. Although this approach may develop theories about the Biblical Church, it may not be effective in actually building a Biblical church. I believe building a Biblical church should start with a clear view of what Biblical churches would look like.
The churches depicted in the New Testament have three characteristics. Firstly, people experienced conversion. Secondly, people’s lives were changed. Thirdly, there was joy in the church. (Notice how often the phrase “They were full of joy.” appears after a new church is started in the NT.) These three are the marks of the New Testament Church.
I can say the House Church is a Biblical church because these three marks are observed in most House Churches. Many non-believers accept Jesus as their Lord. Many church members are becoming like Jesus. And most church members profess happiness as a result of their churches.
These three marks start with concentrated efforts to reach non-believers and lead them to Jesus. In the process, church members learn patience, acceptance, care, service, how to pray fervently, etc. This, in turn, helps them become more like Jesus. And joy becomes bountiful as new believers are added and church members’ lives are changed.
So if you want to build a Biblical church, focus on evangelism. If you want church members to become like Jesus, focus on evangelism. If you want to make your church members happy, focus on evangelism. It all begins with evangelism.

목회자들에게는 누구에게나 ‘성경적인 교회’를 세우고 싶은 열망이 있다고 생각합니다. 목회에 시달리면서 이 열망이 식기도 하고 퇴색하기도 하지만, 완전히 사라지지는 않는다고 생각합니다.
성경적인 교회를 세워보려는 사람들은 보통 성경에서 교회 형태, 조직, 운영 방법을 찾으려고 합니다. 그러나 이렇게 하면 성경적인 교회에 관한 이론을 만들 수 있을지는 모르지만 실제로 교회를 세우지는 못합니다. 성경적인 교회를 구현하려면, 성경적인 교회의 열매에 초점을 맞추어야 한다고 생각합니다.
신약 성경의 기록을 보면 초대 교회에 세 가지 특징이 있었습니다. 믿지 않는 사람들이 예수를 믿는다. 믿는 사람들의 삶이 변한다. 교회 생활에 기쁨이 있다. 이 세 가지가 성경적인 교회의 열매입니다. 어떤 교회가 성경적인 교회인지 아닌지 판단하려면, 이 세 가지 열매가 있는지 없는지를 살펴야 합니다. 아무리 이론적으로 성경적인 교회 모습을 갖추었다 할지라도, 이 세가지 열매가 없으면 겉모양만 성경적인 교회이지 실제로 성경적인 교회는 아닙니다.
가정교회가 성경적인 교회라고 믿는 이유는 이 세 가지 열매가 있기 때문입니다. 비신자 전도가 이루어지고 있고, 성도들의 삶이 변하고, 교회 생활에 기쁨이 있습니다.
이 세 가지 열매는 비신자의 회심, 즉 영혼 구원에서 시작됩니다. 교인들이 비신자를 있는 그대로 수용하고, 이들을 섬겨주고, 이들에게 본이 되는 삶을 살려고 노력하는 가운데, 교인들의 삶이 바뀌면서 예수님을 닮아갑니다. 그리고 지속적으로 새로 예수를 믿는 사람들이 많아지고, 성도의 삶이 변해갈 때, 교회에 기쁨이 넘치게 됩니다.
그러므로 성경적인 교회를 세우기 원하면 영혼 구원에 집중하기 바랍니다. 교인들의 삶이 바뀌기를 원하면 영혼 구원에 집중하시기 바랍니다. 성도들이 교회 생활로 인하여 행복하다고 고백하기 원하면 영혼 구원에 집중하시기 바랍니다. 영혼 구원이 모든 것의 시작입니다.
