As soon as the problem had been aggravated, Rev. Han, Sang
Dong left the Kyong Nam Presbytery under the General
Assembly of the Koryo Presbyterian Church, and then he had
organized the other Presbytery so called ‘the Kyong Nam
Bubtong Presbytery’ which meant ‘the Kyong Nam Legal
Presbytery’ on March 1951. And thus the General Assembly of
Koryo Presbyterian Church has been organized on September,
1952.
But they have taken an excuse for the schism in their own
without certain explanation of the cause. First of all, the
leaders of the denomination have adhered to the extreme
conservative theology, and objected liberal theology and
W.C.C. movement. And also they have kept a so called ‘holly
high-handed attitude against the problem of the worship in
the Shinto Shrine. But professor Kim, Yang Sun had said that it
was wrong trying to get some theological meaning from the
reason of the schism, and it was nothing but a scramble for
initiative of the denomination because schism of the Koryo
Presbyterian Church was not caused by the difference
between the traditional church as well as the worship of
Shinto Shrine.
And also he had deeply regretted that it was a great mistake
which had been made by the Korean Church. It was by no
means to call anyone to account. At this point, the Koryo
Presbyterian Church had explained the motive of organization
of their denomination that they organized the denomination
because the former General Assembly of Presbyterian Church
in Kore had been turning into a heretic (it means liberalism),
being away from the first thought. ⛪️⛪️⛪️⛪️

이 사태는 점점 악화되어 한상동 목사는 경남노회를 탈퇴하고
1951년 3월에 경남법통노회를 조직하였으며, 1952년 9월에 결
국 고려파와 총회가 분립 구성된 것이다. 그런데 이 제1차 분열
의 원인에 대해서는 각자 제 나름대로의 변명을 하고 있을 뿐,
어딘가 석연치 않은 감이 없지 않았다. 우선 이 교단의 지도자들
은 극단의 보수주의 신학을 견지했고, 그들이 생각하기를
W.C.C. 운동을 하는 자유주의 신학을 반대했던 것이고, 신사참
배 문제에 있어서 ‘성스러운 고자세“를 취하고 있었다.
그러나 김양선 교수는 1952년의 고려파(고신파)의 분립은 한국
장로교회가 처음부터 지켜왔던 전통적인 보수주의 신학과 교리
적 하등의 차이가 없으며 신사참배 문제도 아니기 때문에 그 원
인에 있어서 어떤 신학적인 의미를 찾으려고 하는 것은 잘못이
며 이것은 하나의 주도권 쟁탈에 지나지 않는다고 비난하였다.
이어서 그는 고려파의 분립은 그 책임소재를 물을 것 없이 한국
교회가 범한 가장 큰 과오중의 하나라고 통탄했다. 이에 대하여
고신측은 현재 예수교 장로회 총회는 본 장로회의 정신을 떠나
서 이교파적으로 흐르므로 이를 바로잡아 참된 예수교 장로회
총회를 계승하기 위하여 총 노회를 조직한다고 교단 구성의 이
유를 설명하였다.
