[A hard saying to understand] (8) (Why does Seth can be the line of Abel?)
After Abel was attacked and killed by his brother Cain, God has appointed another seed for Adam instead of Abel whom Cain killed. Consequently the lines of Cain and Abel have been continuing side by side. And even though Abel had been killed without his son, why can Seth the son of Adam still be the line of Abel? It contains the theological principle of redemption. The Bible says that the seed who have been saved belong not to the blood of Adam but to the blood of Jesus Christ shedding on the Cross (Heb. 12:24). Seth instead of Abel would be the seed to be saved because he has been given for Abel who had been sacrificed with blood, and killed shedding of blood. In other words it means that they are not the blood of Cain but of Abel, that is, the seed of Abraham who symbolizes the seed of Faith by the blood of Jesus Christ.
\"Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham\" (Gal. 3:7). The salvation does speak through blood. \"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption\"(1 Cor. 15:50). It does still speak through only faith. “By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks”(Heb. 11:4). In conclusion, The people saying the faith in Jesus Christ, that is, belonging to Jesus Christ will be saved. \"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise\"(Gal. 3:29). Hallelujah! Amen.
[이해하기 어려운 말씀] (8) (어떻게 셋이 아벨의 계통이 될 수 있는가?)
아벨이 그의 형 가인에게 맞아죽고 난 후에, 하나님께서 아담에게 가인이 죽인 아벨 대신에 셋을 주셨다. 그 결과로 아담에게서 가인의 계통과 아벨의 계통으로 나란히 이어져왔다. 그러나 아벨이 후손이 없이 죽었는데 어떻게 아담의 아들 셋이 아벨의 계통이 될 수 있는가? 여기에는 신학적인 구속의 원리가 내포되어 있다. 성경은 구원받은 후손들은 아담의 혈통이 아니라 십자가상에서 대속의 피를 흘리신 예수의 혈통을 말한다(히 12:24). 아벨 대신에 셋이 구속받을 후손이 된다는 것은 피의 제사를 드리고 피 흘리며 죽은 아벨 대신에 주신 것이기 때문이다. 다시 말하자면 가인의 혈통이 아니라 아벨의 계통으로서 아브라함의 후손인 믿음의 후손을 의미하는 것이다.
“그런즉 믿음으로 말미암은 자들은 아브라함의 아들인 줄 알지어다”(갈 3:7). 구원은 혈통으로 말하는 것이 아니다. ”형제들아 내가 이것을 말하노니 혈과 육은 하나님 나라를 유업으로 받을 수 없고 또한 썩은 것은 썩지 아니한 것을 유업으로 받지 못하느니라“(고전 15:50). 구원은 오직 믿음으로 말하는 것이다. “믿음으로 아벨은 가인보다 더 나은 제사를 하나님께 드림으로 의로운 자라 하시는 증거를 얻었으니 하나님이 그 예물에 대하여 증거하심이라 저가 죽었으나 그 믿음으로써 오히려 말하느니라”(히 11:4). 결론적으로 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말하는 자 곧 예수 그리스도에게 속한 자가 구원을 얻게 된다. “너희가 그리스도께 속한 자면 곧 아브라함의 자손이요 약속대로 유업을 이을 자니라.(갈 3:29). ...through sola fide! 할렐루야! 아멘.
