(3) Redeeming Lives and Time
(1) The life of faith is possible only to those who have experiences God's redeeming grace in Christ.
(2) Redemption has the literal sense of \\"buying back,\\" there is the idea of liberation. We are to buy up the opportunities, liberating time so that we can make good use of it, taking advantage of the occasions which God brings.
(3) Redemption is something which God is doing on a cosmic scale (Heb 2:8-9) and which includes us as part of his plan (Heb 2:15;
2 Cor 5:17).
(4) Even though time as part of the creation was good, it has been usurped by the Enemy, who now wants to control not only the passing of events in history, but also our own personal, inner time. Therefore we must regain for fruitful use the days which the devil would misuse.
(5) Redemption in Jesus Christ initiates a new life, one in which the life of God invades ours, making the passing of time take on the significance of eternity.
(6) Redemption calls for us to constantly save time (Kairos) that which was lost ant and dead in our lives, including our time.
(7) We who are alive with God's life will also have God's time. Time itself will become alive again to us.
(8) That calls for a dramatically different view of life: a releasing of our inner time with a consequent sense of fulfillment in our tasks and the expectation of a complete \\"coming together\\" of all the redeemed time of the saints at the end.
(9) In the present we can experience some of this fulfillment proclaimed by Christ \\"in the fullness of time\\": redemption, eternal life, hope. \\"With me you can always start afresh.\\"
