THE RELEVANCY OF CHRISTIAN MESSAGE
TO THE MODERN WORLD

In the beginning was the Word(John 1:1). This is an ontological principle of the Word. In the beginning was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). It was to say that this Word(λόϓος) was the very God as the pre-existence of Christ.
By the way, what the ontological principle was transferred to the principle of life meant to the active accomplishment of the creation and re-creation. At first, man and all things were made through the creative movement by the principle of creation (John 1:1, 3).
In the process of the creation, the Word was transferred to the light which was a revelation, and the revelation was a life, and the source of the life was from God and Christ (John 1:4). God who was the source of life came down into the world as a Revealer, and then gave the life to men. This was the very Christ. Christ, therefore is the light of the world(John 8:12) and the life itself (John 14:6).
In short, the Word as the activity of the creation was revealed to the phenomenal world through the movement of light, and this movement of revelation produced the life of all things. However, these words: the Word, the light, revelation and even the life are nothing impersonal but the Triune God, namely God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit respectively who has divinity and personality.
When the Word that existed as the ontological principle in the beginning was revealed, it became the message of God, the Word of Christ(ρήμα). All things were fallen. Therefore they must be re-created through the same Word.
In the light of the Gospel according to the John, the Word was the light, and in order to witness to this light there came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe.
